Our Story
Why We Started
Abbey's Experience

As the founder of Studio 2 Stadium, I bring experience from every angle of the dance world, studio teacher, choreographer, adjudicator, and former Division IA collegiate dance coach. I’ve been the dancer sweating through long practices, the coach navigating late nights and endless to-do lists, and the teacher watching families try to make sense of the confusing college process. That mix of experiences is what shaped my vision for Studio 2 Stadium.
When I returned to my alma mater to coach, I thought I knew what to expect. But I quickly realized that while the dancers worked just as hard as any other athletes, the support was nowhere near equal. My team wore uniforms I had danced in a decade earlier, patched together with a needle and thread I carried to games. While other athletes had free dining, my team paid out of pocket. Mental health resources were capped at just a few sessions per year. On top of that, the long hours never stopped. 16-hour days of practices, meetings, appearances, and then studio work at night just to make ends meet. I missed weddings, birthdays, and family milestones because there was no room for anything outside of the job.
And yet, I knew we were still more fortunate than many programs across the country. That realization changed everything for me. I wanted to create something that gave coaches the support and tools they deserve, so they wouldn’t have to feel so isolated or overextended. I also wanted dancers and families to have a clearer, more connected path so they could spend more time training in the studio and less time searching for answers.
Along the way, I was fortunate to coach incredible athletes who went on to achieve their dreams joining teams like the LA Laker Girls, Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, and even the Radio City Rockettes, some in their very first year auditioning. Their journeys proved what I had always believed: talent is everywhere, but access and opportunity are not.
That’s why Studio 2 Stadium exists. To level the playing field. To make information and opportunities more accessible. To ensure dancers, families, and coaches feel seen, supported, and connected. This platform was built from lived experience, persistence, and a deep passion for opening doors for others.
How We Came To Be
From Idea to Reality

Studio 2 Stadium began as an idea I couldn’t let go of. I knew the college dance world needed a clearer path, but I had no idea how to bring that vision to life. That’s when I turned to my cousin Ethan. He was running (and still runs) his own start-up, The Guide Network, and came from the world of college baseball with no connection to dance. I came from dance with no knowledge of technology. It was an unlikely partnership—but one that made perfect sense. Together, we saw the opportunity to build something that could truly change the way dancers, families, and coaches connect.
At the time, I was still coaching, working behind the scenes to shape what would become Studio 2 Stadium. That experience gave me a unique perspective: I understood what coaches were thinking and what they wanted, while also knowing what dancers and families needed most.
To bring the idea into reality, we partnered with students in the Computer Science and Engineering capstone program at CU Boulder. Year after year, these talented students dedicated themselves to developing our technology, and in the process, we were able to provide them with real-world opportunities to learn and grow. That’s been at the heart of our mission from the start—not just building a platform for dancers, but creating opportunities for people to use their talents and be part of something bigger.
As Studio 2 Stadium has grown, so has our technology. We continue to refine, improve, and expand, always with the goal of making the recruiting process clearer, easier, and more accessible for everyone.
Studio 2 Stadium is more than a platform. It’s the product of collaboration, persistence, and passion. Built to open doors, create opportunities, and make the college dance journey something dancers and families can navigate with confidence.
