That's exactly why we created Road to the Roster, a Studio 2 Stadium original interview series where we sat down with five real college dancers and asked them to tell the whole story. Not the polished version. Not the highlight reel. All of it.
We're talking about the year someone didn't make it and had to decide whether to come back. The injury that forced a complete reroute. Getting thrown into a Nationals jazz routine on a Tuesday with no time to prepare. The imposter syndrome that hits the second you walk into your first practice and realize making the team was just the beginning. The quiet, hard, beautiful middle that every dancer lives through and almost nobody talks about.
The five dancers in this series Chase, Madi, Aubrey, Talya, and Tommy, each represent a completely different point on the journey. A sophomore figuring out what comes after the "yes." A dancer who got cut, came back, and made it. An incoming freshman standing at the very edge of it all. One who had to change the plan entirely after an injury. And the one who is realizing this is all just the beginning.
We made this series because we believe that when you hear the real story, directly from someone who actually lived it, something shifts. The weight you've been carrying starts to feel a little lighter. You realize the doubt, the setbacks, the moments you almost quit, they're not signs you don't belong. They're part of every story worth telling.
